Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has praised Wigan Athletic following their surprise 1-0 victory at White Hart Lane on Saturday.
Ben Watson scored the only goal of the game as the Premier League strugglers recorded only their third win of the campaign.
"Wigan deserve credit, they had good organisation defensively and offensively - they were better than us today," Villas-Boas told BBC Sport.
"It was our worst performance of the season. They felt inspired. They found the gaps in in between us. We couldn't get our passing right we made some mistakes."
The defeat has kept Spurs in fifth place in the table.
