Christian Benteke: 'I'm getting back to my best'

After scoring Aston Villa's winner against Tottenham Hotspur, Christian Benteke says that he is getting back to his best.

Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke has insisted that he is getting back to his best after netting the winner in his side's 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.

The Belgian international struck just after the half-hour mark to secure Villa's third win in their last six Premier League games and alleviate their relegation worries.

"I'm happy today because we won and I scored. I had a tough time with my injury but I'm getting back to my old level," Benteke told BBC Sport.

"I try to help my team, and do my best every time. I think we have to try to win every game. It's not very easy to take a point."

The result moves Villa up to 15th place in the Premier League table and leaves them six points clear of the relegation zone with five games to play.
