Nacer Chadli: 'Harry Kane can handle extra attention'

Nacer Chadli feels that Tottenham teammate Harry Kane is good enough to continue his goalscoring form even under increased attention from Premier League defenders.

Nacer Chadli feels that Tottenham Hotspur teammate Harry Kane can continue his goalscoring form under increased attention from Premier League defenders.

Kane has scored 23 goals in all competitions this season to go from serial loanee to Tottenham's first-choice striker and a future England international.

He is now identified as one of Spurs' main attacking threats, but Chadli feels that the 21-year-old is good enough to cope with being a marked man.

"Harry is a smart lad and you could see in the last games the defence had a lot of focus on him but he waited for those moments where he got the ball and made the difference," the Belgian winger is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.

"That's why he's such a good player. He works a lot, waits for his chance and just grabs it with both hands."

Kane and Chadli are both in contention to face Fiorentina in the Europa League last-32 first leg on Thursday.
