Ben Davies has admitted that he has found the early stages of his Tottenham Hotspur career frustrating due to the lack of chances he has been given in the Premier League.
The Welsh defender, who joined Spurs from Swansea City in the summer, has been a regular in the Europa League, but his opportunities in the league have been rare due to Mauricio Pochettino's preference to use Danny Rose at left-back.
"It's frustrating at times, but I never took it for granted I was going to walk straight into the first team," Davies told reporters.
"I have to bide my time, take my chances and work hard, as I do every day, and when that chance arises to get the games in the Premier League, then I've got to take it with both hands."
Davies is expected to start when Spurs take on Asteras Tripolis on Thursday evening.
