Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies says that his side will use the Christmas football schedule to bounce back from their indifferent form in the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies has said that his side will use the Christmas football schedule to bounce back from their indifferent form in the Premier League.

Spurs have suffered mixed results recently and sit seventh in the Premier League, three points outside the top four.

Strong wins against the likes of Stoke City and Brighton & Hove Albion have not been backed up, with Mauricio Pochettino's side drawing with Watford and West Bromwich Albion and losing to Leicester City.

The club lost to leaders Manchester City in their last fixture, but Davies has said that he is confident that Spurs can re-discover their form.

"We have bounced back well in the past after we have had some bad results and I do not think it is going to be any different this time," the defender told the Evening Standard.

"Of course defeats hurt. It has been up and down this year. It is difficult to put a finger on what exactly is not going right in certain games. It is not through lack of effort.

"We have got a lot of games coming up. It is going to be intense but if we can pick up a couple of wins we can pick up a lot of points in a quick period of time."

Tottenham face Burnley, who have impressed this term, at Turf Moor on Saturday.
