Frank de Boer plays down Tottenham Hotspur managerial speculation

Ajax manager Frank de Boer reveals that Tottenham Hotspur have not been in contact with him in recent weeks.

Frank de Boer has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur have not been in contact with him in recent weeks over the vacant managerial position at White Hart Lane.

The Ajax boss, who had already ruled himself out of the running for the job earlier this month, previously claimed that Spurs made an approach for him.

Asked by BBC Sport if he expected the Premier League club to make contact in the coming weeks, the 44-year-old said: "I don't know. And I am happy with Ajax.

"If a club comes to speak to me, I will listen to them, but I am going on holiday now and that is the most important thing for me."

De Boer was appointed manager of Ajax in 2010.
