France manager Didier Deschamps continues to criticise Andre Villas-Boas for failing to select Les Bleus captain Hugo Lloris for Tottenham.

France manager Didier Deschamps has again criticised Tottenham Hotspur's treatment of Hugo Lloris.

Lloris is Deschamps's captain and number-one goalkeeper for Les Bleus, but has struggled to dislodge Brad Friedel in between the posts at White Hart Lane.

The £11m summer signing has made just six Spurs appearances since arriving from Lyon, of which only one has been in the Premier League.

Deschamps has previously slammed Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas for failing to select Lloris, who responded by saying the former World Cup winner's complaints 'go in one ear and come out the other.'

"I have two ears as well. What he (Villas-Boas) says has the same effect on me," Deschamps told L'Equipe.

"We are not talking of a player who does not play. Since he played his excellent match against Spain (France's 1-1 draw last month), he has kept goal three times.

"Hugo is playing one match per week. Of course, he would like to play more, and it is not the case for the moment," the former Chelsea midfielder told Eurosport. "He is getting on with it as best he possibly can but obviously he would like to play more."

Lloris has earned 42 France caps since debuting in 2008.
