Christian Eriksen: 'Tim Sherwood was really angry at half time'

Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen reveals that head coach Tim Sherwood was far from pleased with his side's first-half performance against Crystal Palace.

Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen has revealed that head coach Tim Sherwood was far from pleased with his side's first-half performance during Saturday's 2-0 win over Crystal Palace.

Palace registered seven shots on goal in the opening 45 minutes at White Hart Lane, including a missed penalty from Jason Puncheon.

"The manager was really angry at half time and that was probably necessary," Eriksen told BBC Sport. "The first half was not good."

Spurs improved after the break and Eriksen fired Spurs in front within five minutes of the restart, before Jermain Defoe completed the scoring.

"I like playing and doing my thing for the team," added the Danish international. "I'm happy to score a goal. Nabil Bentaleb [who hit the woodwork for Spurs] also showed what a big talent he is today."

Eriksen has now been involved in four goals in his last four Premier League games, scoring three and assisting one.
