Tottenham Hotspur's Brad Friedel: 'We're favourites for fourth place'

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Brad Friedel insists that the club will "fight to the death" to qualify for the Champions League this season.

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Brad Friedel believes that the North London outfit is capable of grabbing the final Champions League spot by the end of the season.

Spurs are currently three points behind fourth-placed Liverpool in the Premier League table after 24 games.

"I've got to say we're favourites for the fourth spot," Friedel told talkSPORT. "We're confident in our changing room. We'll fight to the death."

The US keeper has also insisted that Tim Sherwood's side will try to win the Europa League having qualified for the knockout stages of the second-tiered European competition.

"It's nice to be involved in another cup because it's a great opportunity to win a trophy," Friedel added. "We'll be well suited to have our eyes focused on both the Premier League and the Europa League."

Tottenham will take on fifth-placed Everton on Sunday.
