Hugo Lloris: 'Our quality was the difference against Swansea City'

Tottenham Hotspur keeper Hugo Lloris believes that his side's talent in front of goal was the decisive factor in their 2-1 win over Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.

Tottenham Hotspur keeper Hugo Lloris feels that his side's quality in front of goal proved to be the difference in their 2-1 victory over Swansea City.

Mauricio Pochettino's men took the lead at the Liberty Stadium through Harry Kane, but were pegged back by a strike early in the second half from Wilfried Bony.

However, Spurs were able to secure their seventh win of the season when Christian Eriksen curled an effort into the bottom corner in the 89th minute.

"It was a really tough game against a good team at home and the key was that we stayed strong in the most important periods and after that, we have the talent to make the difference," Lloris told the club's official website.

"We believed we could score at any moment but at that moment, we were thinking about keeping the result. It wasn't a bad result because Swansea had chances. But as I said, we have the talent and Christian did it again, he scored an unbelievable goal. This is also down to teamwork, that's the key.

"We needed to keep believing, stay focused and when the chance appears, you need to score. We were patient and again, we got the win at the end of the game. When we scored, we shared the moment with the fans and that's important for us."

Tottenham are next in action in their Capital One Cup quarter-final against Newcastle United at White Hart Lane on Wednesday.
