Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has said that he is hopeful Dele Alli is now back to his form of last season after an impressive showing against Swansea City.
The England international ended the 2015-16 campaign by being crowned as the PFA Young Player of the Year after fully establishing himself in the Lilywhites' first-team ranks.
Alli has so far been on the periphery of things this term following a largely mixed opening four months for Spurs, but the 20-year-old put his injury issues to one side on Saturday afternoon when playing a part in four of his side's goals in the comfortable 5-0 victory at White Hart Lane.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Pochettino admitted that it is now a case of Alli finding some more consistency if he is to return to his peak performance levels of the past.
"I'm happy with him - he has recovered the feeling of last season," Pochettino said. "He's young and needs to find his best and be consistent - that's the challenge for him."
Alli has made 19 appearances for Spurs in all competitions this season, while also representing England on two occasions in their World Cup qualifying campaign.
