Andros Townsend has admitted that it is time for him to put in more consistent displays at Tottenham Hotspur as he anticipates a "big season" in his development.
The England winger shone at times for both club and country last term, but also spent periods out of the Spurs team as he struggled with injuries and form.
With Mauricio Pochettino's appointment as manager triggering another new era at White Hart Lane, Townsend is determined to make his mark and perform week in week out in the Premier League.
"It is a big season for me. Last year was my breakthrough for club and country and now it is important I build on that and show a lot more consistency then I did last year," he told reporters.
"I am 23 next week, so that will come with age, and hopefully I can build on what I did last season."
Townsend scored two goals in 33 appearances for Tottenham in all competitions last campaign.
