Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has hinted that Kyle Walker will be absent from the start of the Premier League season due to a pelvic injury.
The 24-year-old has been dogged by the problem since March, which resulted in the full-back missing out on a spot in England's World Cup squad in Brazil.
Walker, who missed the last 10 games of the 2013-14 campaign, played 45 minutes of Spurs' pre-season tour of the United States, but Pochettino has claimed that the player could be ruled out of this weekend's action.
"Kyle is good some days, on other days he has a bad feeling," The Express quotes Pochettino as saying. "We believe he may recover soon, but we need to be calm with him because it is an injury that he has had for five months.
"It is difficult to say today whether he will be fit for next week."
Tottenham will go head to head with West Ham United on Saturday.
