Queens Park Rangers striker Charlie Austin unsure over transfer speculation

Charlie Austin admits that he is unsure about what awaits him in the transfer window as the Queens Park Rangers striker continues to be linked with a Premier League move.

Queens Park Rangers striker Charlie Austin has revealed that he remains unsure about his future as he continues to be linked with a return to the Premier League.

Austin scored 18 goals last season as QPR failed to keep their spot in the top tier of English football, and that record has seen reports suggest that both Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are interested in his services.

QPR are believed to be considering offering the 26-year-old a new contract should an acceptable offer not arrive, but Austin has admitted that he is interested in a move away from Loftus Road.

"I don't know to be honest. Like I've said the whole way through, I'm here to play and I'll leave that to my agent and the owners of the football club and whatever they decide will be," he told Sky Sports when quizzed about his future after scoring in the 2-2 draw with Cardiff City.

"I'm focused on the job in hand. Every player wants to play in the Premier League and I would be lying if I said I didn't want to be there, but I've got to work hard while I'm at QPR and try my best."

QPR are reportedly holding out for an offer of £15m.
