Andre Villas-Boas: 'Tottenham Hotspur keen on more new signings'

Andre Villas-Boas says that Tottenham Hotspur still want to bring in a few more new players before the end of the transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has admitted that he remains eager to further add to his squad during the transfer market.

The Portuguese has been one of the biggest spenders over the summer, having recruited the likes of Paulinho, Nacer Chadli, Roberto Soldado and Etienne Capoue.

However, Villas-Boas insists that Spurs, who have been linked with moves for Erik Lamela and Vlad Chiriches, still want to bring in a few more new faces.

"We've been very active in the market and the only thing I can tell you is that we will keep on adding to the squad," Villas-Boas told reporters.

"We've been linked with numerous names during the transfer window but what you can expect is Tottenham to bring more players in. That is the only thing I can tell the fans."

Spurs beat Swansea City 1-0 at White Hart Lane on Sunday thanks to a Soldado penalty.
