Eric Dier's performances in a Tottenham Hotspur shirt this season have reportedly caught the eye of Bayern Munich.
Despite having arrived at White Hart Lane as a centre-back in 2014, Dier has spent much of the campaign operating in a holding midfield role.
The 22-year-old's displays recently earned him senior international recognition from England manager Roy Hodgson, with his place in the Euro 2016 squad thought to be assured.
According to the London Evening Standard, Dier's development has also not gone unnoticed by German champions Bayern.
The report adds that the Bavarians have no immediate plans to test Tottenham's resolve with a transfer offer, but instead they will continue to monitor the defence-minded player's progression.
If a move were to materialise, it could well come at the end of next season when current Bayern midfielder Xabi Alonso is out of contract.
