Everton could battle Tottenham Hotspur for the signature of Valencia midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia, according to a report.

Everton have reportedly joined the race for Valencia midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia.

The 27-year-old has contributed two goals in 24 appearances for Los Che this season, while he has represented the former Spanish champions on 89 occasions since arriving from Inter Milan.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified the Frenchman as a potential summer target.

However, according to El Desmarque, Everton are also considering a summer move for the midfielder, who allegedly has a €80m (£70.1m) release clause in his contract.

Kondogbia, whose current deal at the Mestalla runs until the summer of 2022, has also previously been linked with a move to Arsenal.

Everton have also allegedly joined the race for Barcelona attacker Philippe Coutinho amid suggestions that the Brazilian could be available for £80m during this summer's transfer window.
