The agent and father of Tottenham Hotspur winger Erik Lamela has denied that there are talks ongoing between Spurs and Inter Milan over a possible summer transfer to Serie A.
Jose Lamela said that, while his son was highly rated in Italy, he has not been alerted to any bids or even enquiries for the player who has a long-term deal with Spurs.
"I was never told of any offers made by Inter," he told FCInterNews. "In Italy he is much appreciated, but these rumours are completely new to me.
"Would he like to return to Italy? Now he has a long contract with Tottenham."
Lamela joined Spurs for a deal worth up to £30m last summer.
