Leicester City are reportedly keen to secure the signings of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks and Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Conor Coady.

Leicester City have reportedly identified Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks and Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Conor Coady as potential transfer targets.

The Foxes are currently preparing for their return to the Championship after suffering relegation from the Premier League on the final day of the season.

Enzo Maresca has left his coaching role at Manchester City to become the new manager at the East Midlands outfit, and he will be prepared to oversee a wide array of sales.

However, at a time when it appears increasingly likely that James Maddison will sign for Spurs, the Italian is in need of making a number of major additions.

According to The Telegraph, Maresca is showing an interest in Winks, who may be available to leave Spurs after spending a season on loan at Sampdoria.

The 27-year-old made 19 starts and one substitute outing in Serie A during a campaign where Sampdoria were relegated, but Winks's stock has not taken a hit from his spell in Italy.

With Spurs potentially facing a situation where they could lose at least one homegrown talent this summer, there is a possibility that Winks may become an option for Ange Postecoglou.

Nevertheless, more first-team football would come with Leicester and it may be left down to whether the clubs and player can reach an agreement over financial terms.

Meanwhile, The Mirror says that Leicester are also making every effort to wrap up the signing of Coady by the end of the week.

Despite impressing on the final day of the season versus Bournemouth in a game where Everton avoided relegation, the Toffees opted against taking up their option to sign the England international for £4.5m.

Wolves may theoretically reintegrate the former club captain back into the fold, but the opportunity to boost their coffers ahead of June 30 - the last day for accounting for 2022-23 - may prove too appealing when they need to improve their standing with FFP.

As it stands, it is unclear whether Wolves are yet to accept a bid from Leicester, although it is suggested that Coady is ready to turn down Premier League clubs in order to link up with Maresca.

Leicester's new boss is said to have taken note of Pep Guardiola previously speaking highly of the 30-year-old's leadership skills and ability to start attacks from defence, usually from a back three.
