Rayo Vallecano are reportedly closing in on a move for Real Betis attacker Alvaro Vadillo.
When the now 20-year-old broke into the Betis first team in 2011, a whole host of top-level European clubs were monitoring the Spaniard's development.
Vadillo's relationship with Betis has become strained over the past year, however, and according to Inside Spanish Football, Rayo are close to signing the forward on a three-year contract.
The same report claims that Betis have agreed to terminate Vadillo's contract, which will allow him to join Rayo on a free transfer.
Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with a move for the player, who has already made almost 50 first-team league appearances for Betis.
