Tottenham Hotspur youngster Jordan Archer loaned to Northampton Town

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Jordan Archer signs a loan deal with Northampton Town until January.

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Jordan Archer has joined Northampton Town on loan until January.

The 21-year-old, who is yet to make a senior appearance for Spurs, spent most of last season on loan with Wycombe Wanderers.

"Jordan is here to challenge for a first-team place," Cobblers boss Chris Wilder told the club's official website. "It is important to have competition, and Jordan is in the frame to battle with Matt Duke for a first-team spot."

Archer has made 13 appearances for the Scotland Under-21 side.
