Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly make a move to sign Everton left-back Leighton Baines if they qualify for the Champions League.

Tottenham Hotspur will make a move to sign Everton left-back Leighton Baines if they qualify for the Champions League, according to a report.

The England international has been linked with a move away from Goodison Park despite having two years left on his contract.

Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is making the area of left-back his top priority for this summer and Baines is his number one target, and he is hopeful of landing him for £12m, according to the The Mirror

Cameroon international Benoit Assou-Ekotto could be leaving as a result of Tottenham's interest in Baines, with a move to France a distinct possibility.
