St Johnstone striker Fran Sandaza has revealed that he turned down a pre-contract offer from Glasgow Rangers because he does not want to be a "cheap" option.
The 27-year-old is out of contract in the summer and had been heavily linked with a move to Ibrox.
However, Sandaza has insisted that he is not prepared to pen a pre-contract with any club.
"I don't think I will sign any pre-contract because I trust my possibilities. In this league I can score more than 20 goals and if someone wants me they have to want me enough," he said.
"I think I'm a good player and I have worked so hard to get to this level - so I don't want to go to any club cheap."
Sandaza joined St Johnstone in the summer from Brighton & Hove Albion.
