Celtic manager Neil Lennon admits that his side were deserving of their 2-1 win over St Mirren in the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has admitted that his side deserved their win over St Mirren in the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup.

Joe Ledley and Anthony Stokes were both on target at St Mirren Park on Saturday to see the Bhoys through to the last four of the competition.

"I'm delighted. We deserved to win the match," Lennon told the club's official website. "We played really well in the first half, it was a great result."

Celtic are looking to reach their second final in three years following a 3-0 triumph over Motherwell in 2011.
