Mark Hughes: 'We need to get maximum points'

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes admits that his side must push to get three points on the board against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon.

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has described his side's fixture with West Bromwich Albion as a "big game" as both teams look for their first league win of the season.

The Potters have registered draws at both Tottenham Hotspur and Norwich City, but Hughes believes that his team need to deliver maximum points and a good performance in front of their home fans at the Britannia Stadium.

The 51-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "It is a big game for us - it seems an age since we were last at the Britannia, so we are really looking forward to getting back in front of friendly faces and playing well.

"We have had decent enough results so far this season even if our performances have not been at the top of the guys' levels.

"We can be happy to have taken points from a couple of difficult away games, but now we want to get maximum points on the board at home."

Stoke currently sit in 15th position in the standings, while the Baggies are in last place.
