Stoke City are expected to be hit with a warning from the Premier League over their controversial towel tactics.
The Potters came under scrutiny after Ryan Shotton appeared to dry the ball with a towel undershirt for a throw-in during the side's 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
The officials of the English league are planning to inform Stoke that a towel can only be used during a match as long as both teams agree, but Shotton's method should be avoided, according to the Daily Mail.
Tony Pulis's side are expected to receive a call regarding this issue following their Europa League clash against Besiktas tonight.
