Sunderland are reportedly back in the running to sign Blackburn Rovers winger Junior Hoilett.
The 22-year-old is expected to leave the Lancashire club, who were demoted to the Championship last season, after becoming a free agent.
The Black Cats are believed to have already expressed an interest in the Canadian-born star but were put off by high wage demands. However, it is understood that Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill has rekindled his interest in the player, according to the Northern Echo.
Reports last month claimed that Hoilett was close to moving to Borussia Monchengladbach. However, it is thought that negotiations have broken down since then.
