Sunderland winger Adam Johnson has admitted that he is hopeful of winning back his place in Roy Hodgson's England squad.
The 25-year-old has not played for the national side since appearing against Italy last year, but he is confident that he can force his way into Hodgson's plans.
"I have got to work hard and do my best to get back in that squad. Hopefully I'm not being forgotten about. I have got to keep working on my game and when we pick up hopefully I will come back," Hodgson told Sky Sports News.
Johnson has won 12 caps for England.
