Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins believes that goalkeeper Gerhard Tremmel was a "bit unlucky" not to have earned more minutes on the pitch at the Liberty Stadium.
The 36-year-old was released by the Premier League club last week following a four-year spell in which he ended up playing second fiddle to Lukasz Fabianski.
"Gerhard has been a top professional with us, a very, very good squad member, and he has probably been a bit unlucky not to have played as many games he would have liked," the South Wales Evening Post quotes Tremmel as saying.
Heerenveen shot-stopper Kristoffer Nordfeldt has been touted as a possible replacement.
