Rodgers refuses to blame Tremmel for cup exit
Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers refuses to hold goalkeeper Gerhard Tremmel accountable for his side's FA Cup exit at the hands of Bolton.

Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers has said that goalkeepr Gerhard Tremmel is not to blame for his side's FA Cup exit at the hands of Bolton Wanderers.

Tremmel's parried save from Martin Petrov's shot allowed Chris Eagles to score the winning goal, but Rodgers has refused to hold his reserve keeper accountable.

"There is no blame attached to him," said the Swansea boss.

"I feel I have the number one goalkeeper in the league in Michel Vorm and Gerhard offers a wonderful support to him.

"He doesn't get a lot of game time and he is a good guy. There is certainly no blame attached, but we could have prevented their move for the second goal."

Swansea will look to bounce back from their cup exit when they host Chelsea in the Premier League on Tuesday.
