Swansea City captain Garry Monk has said that he is happier at the Welsh club now than he was at the start of the season.
The 33-year-old defender, who started against Chelsea in the Swans' 1-1 draw at the Liberty Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday, was linked with a move to Bristol City in January.
"There was nothing I could do until January even had I wanted to [leave]," he told the South Wales Evening Post.
"I said I'd work hard in training. I got on the bench against Liverpool.
"I did all right and managed to get a start against Chelsea. I did fine. So it is a happier Garry Monk."
Monk joined Swansea from Barnsley in 2004.
