Swansea City have reportedly ruled out the possibility of club captain Ashley Williams leaving south Wales this summer.
The 30-year-old only signed a new four-year contract at the Liberty Stadium last summer, but speculation has linked the Wales captain with a move to Crystal Palace in recent weeks.
"Garry Monk has made it clear he has no intention of selling his best players this summer, and Ashley clearly falls into that bracket," the Daily Star quotes an unnamed Swansea City source as saying.
"The club is on a sound financial footing and does not need to let players go in order to generate money.
"Ashley signed a new contract just a year ago, he is happy here and has a great relationship with Garry and he is not going anywhere."
Williams, who has 51 caps for his country, has been with the Swans for seven years and has made over 280 appearances for the club.
