Swansea City head coach Garry Monk has reportedly signalled his intent to secure the permanent transfer of Middlesbrough winger Marvin Emnes.
Emnes ended the season on loan at the Liberty Stadium, scoring one goal in nine appearances before returning to his parent club in May, and the Swans could be ready to launch a seven-figure bid for his signature.
According to Sky Sports News, Swansea are prepared to offer Middlesbrough a fee in the region of £1m for the 26-year-old, who also completed a loan spell at the Welsh club in 2010.
Emnes fell out of favour at the Riverside Stadium soon after the arrival of head coach Aitor Karanka.
