Swindon Town will be looking to halt their recent slump in League Two when they return to action at the County Ground on Tuesday night, as they currently sit 18th in England's fourth tier with 40 points from 34 matches, having fallen away from the playoff places.
The Robins have endured a tough February, losing four league matches and picking up just one win in their last nine outings.
Their last victory came against Bradford at the end of January. February saw them lose to Newport and MK Dons, while draws against Salford, Gillingham, and Stockport offered little respite.
This poor run has seen them slip down the table, 11 points adrift of the play-offs, leaving them desperate to bounce back on Tuesday and kickstart a climb back up the division with their 11th league win of the season.
However, their recent record against Tranmere does not bode well, having lost three of their last five encounters against their upcoming opponents, with their last victory in this fixture coming way back in 2019.
The visitors are also struggling, having lost three of their last four matches and picking up just one win in their last five.
After a worrying start that saw them fearing a relegation scrap, manager Nigel Adkins oversaw an impressive turnaround, with Tranmere losing just one league game between mid-November and the new year.
However, since the turn of the year, their form has dipped again, with five defeats in their last eight league matches, including a 1-0 loss to Forest Green last time out.
Adkins will be hoping his side can rediscover the consistency that saw them pick up the joint-most points and score the most goals in League Two between November 11 and January 1.
They can also take confidence from their strong recent record against Swindon, having drawn their last two visits to the County Ground and remaining unbeaten in the last five encounters between the two sides.

Swindon have a clean bill of health heading this fixture, which leaves Sadler with many options heading into this fixture.
Veteran forward Charlie Austin should lead the line once more alongside Paul Glatzel, while Dawson Devoy plays behind them.
Elsewhere, former Chelsea midfielder George McEachran should again line up in the engine room alongside Jake Cain.
Similarly for Tranmere, they have their full squad available to them for this encounter with no injuries or absentees.
Connor Jennings currently tops the Tranmere charts, though, with 11 and should line up once again in attack alongside Harvey Saunders.
Swindon Town possible starting lineup:
Bycroft; Minturn, McCarthy, Blake-Tracy; Kokolo, Cain, McEachran, Elbouzedi; Devoy; Austin, Glaztel
Tranmere Rovers possible starting lineup:
McGee; O'Connor, Davies, Turnbull, Wood; Apter, Walker, Hendry, Morris; Jennings, Saunders
We say: Swindon Town 1-1 Tranmere Rovers
Both sides are struggling at the moment and there are no clear favorites heading into this one. We think this game will end in a draw with both sides finding the net.
