Sports Mole previews Team GB's opening Olympic Group A match against Senegal.

Team GB open up their Olympic Group A campaign with a tie against Senegal on Thursday.

Great Britain are competing in the Olympic men's football tournament for the first time in 50 years, while Senegal will make their Olympic debut at Old Trafford.

Team GB boss Stuart Pearce does possess an impressive record at international youth level – having won the Under-21 European Championships in 2009.

Meanwhile, Senegal will also enter the match full of confidence having won their last two games against Switzerland and Spain.

Pearce has no fresh injury concerns entering the match, with Daniel Sturridge likely to start after recovering from illness, while Senegal also have a fully-fit squad to choose from.

Possible lineups:

Great Britain: Butland; Taylor, Richards, Caulker, Bertrand; Ramsey, Allen, Giggs, Cleverley; Sturridge, Bellamy

Senegal: Mane; Ciss, Souare, Gueye, Bindia; Konate, Diame, Gueye, Toure; N'Doye, Balde

Sports Mole says: 1-1
