Torino 'not interested in Antonio Cassano'

Torino president Urbano Cairo distances the club from speculation linking them with a move for free agent Antonio Cassano.

Torino president Urbano Cairo has revealed that the Serie A club are not interested in a move for Antonio Cassano.

Cassano is a free agent after leaving Parma last month, and rejected the chance to move hometown club Bari, who play in Serie B.

However, Cairo said that I Granata will not be moving for the former Italian international.

He told Gazzetta dello Sport: "Cassano? Absolutely not. We are looking for lads with potential and experienced players who can bring something to the changing room - that's important.

"Torino are OK as they are."

The Maroons are currently eighth in the Serie A table.
