After finishing in fifth place last season, Tottenham have experienced a drop-off in the first few months of the current campaign, having won two, drawn one and lost five of their eight league matches.
Spurs have lost five of their previous six home WSL matches, including a 3-0 defeat to North London rivals Arsenal in their most recent outing.
Tottenham did at least pick up a win in their Women's League Cup outing before the international break, with Eveliina Summanen scoring the decisive goal in a 1-0 victory over Aston Villa.
Spurs boss Robert Vilahamn would have been particularly pleased with the fact that his side managed to keep a clean sheet against the Villans, having seen his team ship 21 goals in eight league games to leave them with the worst defensive record in the top flight.
They will now look to produce a strong defensive display in Sunday's league fixture as they go in search of their first victory over Everton since they recorded a 2-1 win in December 2021.

Everton are sitting just one point above the drop zone after winning one, drawing three and losing four of their eight league games this season.
The Toffees recorded that solitary victory in their most recent league outing against Merseyside rivals Liverpool at Goodison Park.
Katja Snoeijs's first-half penalty proved enough to be the only goal of the derby clash, securing Everton their first WSL victory since February.
The Toffees were unable to back up that result in their Women's League Cup match against Manchester United, falling to a 2-0 defeat to leave them in third place in Group A with two points to their name.
Everton now head to the capital for their first game back from the international break, with the visitors looking to claim their first away win of the WSL season after taking just two points from their opening four away league matches.

As for the visitors, they are unable to call upon Aurora Galli, Inma Gabarro and Kenzie Weir, with the trio all sidelined with anterior cruciate ligament injuries.
Heather Payne is a doubt after she picked up a knock on international duty, while Karen Holmgaard will not be ready to feature in Sunday's fixture.

Tottenham Hotspur Women possible starting lineup:
Spencer; Nilden, Bartrip, Hunt, Neville; Summanen, Ahtinen: Naz, Spence, Raso; England
Everton Women possible starting lineup:
Brosnan; Hope, Vanhaevermaet, Finnigan, S. Holmgaard; Wheeler, Hayashi; T.Payne, Lawley, Sarri; Snoeijs
We say: Tottenham Hotspur Women 3-1 Everton Women
Both of Tottenham's two WSL victories in 2024-25 have taken place on home turf, and we think that they will make full use of home advantage to sweep past an Everton side that have lost two of their four away league matches this season.
