Both looking to pick up their first victory at the World Cup, Tunisia and Australia square off at the Al Janoub Stadium in the second round of Group D matches on Saturday.
The Socceroos' hopes of reaching the round of 16 for the first time since 2006 suffered an early blow as they fell to a 4-1 defeat at the hands of world champions France in Tuesday's group opener.
Craig Goodwin opened the scoring with a ninth-minute finish but goals from Adrien Rabiot, Kylian Mbappe and an Olivier Giroud brace helped Didier Deschamps's men turn the game on its head.
Tunisia, on the other hand, remain firmly in charge of their own fate as they played out a goalless draw with a star-studded Denmark side, who are ranked 10th in the latest FIFA World Rankings.
While Australia need at least a draw to avoid a fourth-consecutive group-stage exit, Saturday's game pits them against Jalel Kadri's men, who claimed a 2-0 victory when the sides met in Group A of the FIFA Confederations Cup back in July 2005.
Former Sochaux striker Francileudo dos Santos put the Socceroos to the sword in that encounter as he scored either side of the half-time interval to hand Tunisia all three points at Leipzig's Zentralstadion.
The second and only other meeting between Tunisia and Australia came in a friendly fixture eight years prior, when Graham Arnold's side cruised to a 3-0 victory over the North Africans in October 1997.
Aurelio Vidmar and Mark Viduka found the back of the net to put the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations champions two goals down heading into half time before Matthew Bingley netted in the 76th minute to cap off a solid team performance at the Stade Olympique d'El Menzah.
