Valencia 'nearing £13m Mouctar Diakhaby capture'

Valencia are nearing the capture of Lyon defender Mouctar Diakhaby in a £13m deal, according to a report.

Valencia are reportedly nearing the £13m capture of Lyon defender Mouctar Diakhaby.

The 21-year-old, who has previously been linked with a move to Manchester City, has played for France at Under-21 level, and has been in Lyon's first team since 2016.

The centre-back only made 12 Ligue 1 appearances for his French club last term, however, and his future has been called into question over the last few weeks.

According to Onda Cero, Valencia have agreed a £13m deal with Lyon for the transfer of Diakhaby, and the move could be announced next week with personal terms not expected to be an issue.

Valencia have secured a return to the Champions League for the 2018-19 campaign, having finished fourth in Spain's top flight last term.
