Report: Villarreal consider Alexandre Pato move

A report claims that Villarreal want to bring Corinthians forward Alexandre Pato to El Madrigal this summer.

Villarreal are reportedly interested in signing Corinthians striker Alexandre Pato this summer.

The 26-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Chelsea, but struggled to make his mark in England and returned to his parent club at the end of the Premier League campaign.

Lazio president Igli Tare claimed earlier this month that Pato had turned down a move to Italy as he wants to remain in Brazil until December due to "personal reasons".

However, according to AS, Villarreal, who will play Champions League football next season, will attempt to convince the former Brazil international to make the move to Spain.

Pato scored 10 times in 27 Brazil appearances between 2008 and 2013.
