Hal Robson-Kanu: 'Aaron Ramsey absence a blow'

Wales attacker Hal Robson-Kanu concedes that his team will feel the absence of the suspended Aaron Ramsey in Wednesday's Euro 2016 semi-final against Portugal.

Wales attacker Hal Robson-Kanu has conceded that his team will feel the absence of "world-class" Aaron Ramsey in Wednesday's Euro 2016 semi-final against Portugal.

Ramsey will be suspended for the last-four clash after picking up his second booking of the tournament in Friday night's 3-1 win over Belgium in the quarter-finals.

Robson-Kanu, who scored his team's second against Belgium, has lavished praise on Arsenal midfielder Ramsey, but is confident that his replacement will be ready to fill the void.

"Obviously he's a world-class player. You don't want to lose your world-class players but we have a squad here and that's the whole point of having a squad at a championships, so I'm sure the players who step in will perform," Robson-Kanu told reporters.

"They have been training hard and waiting for this moment, so I'm sure it will be a positive game."

Wales have reached the semi-finals of a major competition for the first time in their history.
