Watford boss Giuseppe Sannino refuses to criticise his players after watching them surrender a two-goal advantage for the second successive game in Thursday's 4-2 loss at Nottingham Forest.

Watford head coach Giuseppe Sannino refused to criticise his players after they surrendered a two-goal advantage for the second successive game on Thursday.

Five days after going down 4-2 at Manchester City, the Hertfordshire outfit collapsed again, throwing away another 2-0 lead to suffer a 4-2 defeat at Nottingham Forest.

"My aim is to make sure we remember the good things from tonight and forget the bad memories in time for Sunday's game at home [to Brighton & Hove Albion]," Sannino told Watford's official website.

"You must look only at me for the performance of the team, not at the players. They tried everything this season but it did not go in the right way for them. This can happen; what is important now is a chance we have to show we can make things right. I know we can fix the things that need attention."

He added: "My compliments to Nottingham Forest for playing a good game after half time. I could see they drew a lot from their supporters once they got their first goal.

"For us, we win as a team and lose as a team. The time for us to make things right again lies ahead of us now."

Watford remain 16th in the Championship table.
