Brice Dja Djedje has revealed that he has chosen to join Watford from Marseille.
The 25-year-old is believed to have agreed a four-year deal with the Premier League club.
According to L'Equipe, the Hornets have parted with £3m to sign Dja Djedje, who turned down interest from elsewhere to move to Vicarage Road.
"I had other proposals, yes, even a German club, but I preferred to sign for Watford because this is a good club," the defender told the French publication.
"I will find some former players of Ligue 1 and because it allows me to set foot in the Premier League."
Dja Djedje spent two years playing for Marseille.
