Steve Clarke tells his West Bromwich Albion players that he wants them to have a good run in the FA Cup.

West Bromwich Albion manager Steve Clarke has admitted that he would like to see his team have a run in this season's FA Cup.

Some reports had claimed that Clarke may use the competition to rotate his squad in order to keep some of his key players fresh for the remainder of their Premier League campaign.

However, despite admitting that he may make a couple of alterations to his starting lineup, Clarke has insisted that his team will take the tournament seriously.

"I said when I came here I would try to do well in the cup competitions and I see no reason to change that. I might have to rest one or two players just because that's the stage of the season we are at," he told the Express & Star.

"But, fingers crossed, we'll get one or two of the injured players back. I'm not 100% sure that will happen but it would be good if they did, just to lessen the workload on some of the boys who are playing all the time."

Clarke's team will travel to Queens Park Rangers at the weekend for a third-round tie.
