West Bromwich Albion head coach Steve Clarke has backed striker Nicolas Anelka to break his scoring duck with the club.
Anelka hasn't scored in his first six appearances for the Baggies, but Clarke has insisted that he has been pleased with the Frenchman's efforts.
The 50-year-old told the Birmingham Mail: "Nicolas has had a good start to the season. His contribution for us has been good.
"Everybody talks about him because he is a name in world football, but here he is a member of the squad and a good member, and everybody will make their contribution at the right time."
The 34-year-old could feature when West Brom play Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday.
