Alan Irvine "bitterly disappointed" with Manchester United equaliser

West Brom boss Alan Irvine admits to being "bitterly disappointed" after Daley Blind struck a late equaliser to deny his side victory over Manchester United.

West Bromwich Albion manager Alan Irvine has admitted that he is "bitterly disappointed" in the manner of his side's 2-2 draw with Manchester United.

Irvine's side were closing in on victory over United until Daley Blind stroked home an 87th-minute equaliser at The Hawthorns last night.

"We're all bitterly disappointed," he told Sky Sports News. "We were so close to getting a great result against a top team.

"For us not to get the three points feels really tough at this moment. The players were terrific all the way through."

Saido Berahino had fired the Baggies ahead on 66 minutes after Marouane Fellaini had earlier cancelled out Stephane Sessegnon's first-half opener.
