Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes quashes speculation linking him with the vacant West Bromwich Albion job and insists that he is happy at Pittodrie.

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes has played down speculation linking him with the vacant West Bromwich Albion job.

The 46-year-old used to captain the Baggies and was strongly linked with the post when Tony Pulis was axed earlier this season.

Alan Pardew was subsequently appointed on November 29 but left the post on April 2 after a period of just three wins and five draws from 21 matches in all competitions.

The manager's job becoming vacant once again at The Hawthorns has prompted speculation linking McInnes to the post, but the Scot insists that he is happy at Aberdeen.

"I've been linked often enough now," McInnes told BBC Sport. "My job is here and I'm enjoying it."

West Brom are on the brink of relegation from the Premier League following a run of 10 games without a win, leaving them seven points adrift at the foot of the table.
