Red Bull Salzburg defender Stefan Lainer has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for West Bromwich Albion.
The Baggies have spent the last eight seasons in the Premier League, but the West Midlands outfit will spend the next 12 months as a Championship team having finished bottom of the top-flight standings.
However, it appears that the West Brom will remain ambitious in the transfer market as according to reports in Austria, international full-back Rainer is on the club's list of targets.
The 25-year-old has just helped RB Salzburg to the domestic title, while the right-back played 14 times as the club reached the semi-finals of the Europa League.
Lainer still has just over four years remaining on his contract but West Brom are said to be weighing up an approach for the player in the coming weeks.
