Pepe Mel hails West Bromwich Albion "family"

West Bromwich Albion boss Pepe Mel says that the 1-0 win over Norwich City yesterday is testament to the team spirit within the side.

West Bromwich Albion boss Pepe Mel believes that the 1-0 win away to Norwich City on Saturday is testament to the team spirit that he has bonded in the squad.

Morgan Amalfitano's first-half strike at Carrow Road yesterday proved enough for the Baggies to claim all three points to remain five points clear of the relegation zone with six to play.

"A team that has displayed discipline on the pitch and played as they did today - well and together - demonstrates there is a good spirit within the camp and that we are a family," he told reporters.

"These three points really move us closer to the end and they really make our route a lot easier."

West Brom resume their survival bid by hosting Tottenham Hotspur at The Hawthorns next weekend.
