Premier League trio West Bromwich Albion, Southampton and West Ham United are reportedly keen on signing Montpellier midfielder Ryad Boudebouz.
The Algerian playmaker has been impressive in France this season having scored seven goals and produced two assists in 15 appearances.
According to the Birmingham Mail, West Brom have targeted Boudebouz as the man to provide versatility across the midfield, but they face competition from their league rivals.
It is believed that all three clubs sent scouts to watch the midfielder score in Montpellier's 3-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain last Saturday.
The 26-year-old has drawn comparisons to Riyad Mahrez, who was pivotal in Leicester City's historic Premier League title win last season.
